Commercialise Your Research
with support from JWNC and Kelvin Nanotechnology
JWNC and Kelvin Nanotechnology (KNT) are holding an online workshop to identify and assist you in seeking further support to commercialise your research.
As part of its Industrial Engagement and Innovation Strategy, the University of Glasgow is committed to supporting industrial engagement and the spin out of technologies and/or companies.
To help achieve these goals, KNT and JWNC will play an increasing role in:
- reaching out to industry; and facilitating engagement with academics and researchers at JWNC
- working with JWNC researchers whose research has IP potential to assist them maximise economic impact and societal benefit from this IP
KNT and JWNC have created a Commercialisation Questionnaire to help identify researchers who are interested in engaging further in these activities and capture the nature of support they require. Researchers who complete this questionnaire will receive a follow-on session to discuss and agree an individual program of support that can include targeting industry sectors and companies aligned with research interests or to giving access to a broader package of support for research with IP or spin out potential.
The online workshop, which is approximately 1.5 hours long, will give an overview of the questionnaire and how it should be completed. It will also provide an update of the current support available from the University and provide an opportunity for researchers to ask questions and give feedback on this initiative.
